Shopify

I'm currently an Engineering Manager at Shopify, leading the Advanced Checkout Experiences team. We build complex checkout workflows for enterprise merchants across domains like shipping, taxes, pickup, and payments.

My team has led or contributed to Ship and Pickup in One Order, Checkout Redesign, and Market Driven Shipping.

Integral

Before Shopify, I joined Integral as a Software Engineer and later became an Engineering Manager. Integral was building accounting software for crypto companies, then expanded toward a broader ERP product for fiat-focused businesses.

I joined because I wanted to learn the accounting domain and work through another early-stage company scaling moment. I built product features, improved engineering practices around hiring and onboarding, helped measure engineering performance, and managed a team through a major product direction shift.

Convictional

Before Integral, I spent more than three years at Convictional. I joined in February 2020 as one of the first engineers, when the company was seven people and the engineering team was three.

In my first 60 days, I rewrote the frontend from Meteor to React, replacing a fragile single-file application that had become one of the company's biggest technical risks.

Over time, my work moved from implementation to product discovery, technical direction, hiring, and engineering leadership. I spent time with customers, identified supplier onboarding as a deeper product problem, and helped shape Supplier Enablement into a clearer value driver for the business.

I was promoted to Engineering Lead in 2021, then Head of Engineering in 2022, reporting to the CEO. I led the engineering function across product engineering, infrastructure, and support, with a team of roughly 15-20 engineers.

During that period, Convictional grew from seed stage through Series A and Series B, including funding from Lachy Groom and Y Combinator Continuity. I worked through the kinds of problems that show up when a startup is no longer just trying to ship, but trying to scale: hiring, architecture, product focus, execution quality, and deciding what not to build.

Capital One

I started my career at Capital One, moving from Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer in my first year. I supported APIs for credit limit increase workflows and helped build an ETL platform for credit rate repricing using AWS EMR and PySpark.

That system processed millions of accounts daily and became reusable infrastructure for related data workflows.
